Scheduling Your Matches

Each week, teams are responsible for coordinating with their opponents to schedule their match. Reach out early in the week to decide on a day, time, and location that works for everyone.

You’re free to play on any public court in Philadelphia, but here are a few recommended spots our players love:

  • FDR Park (Front Courts)

  • Temple University Courts

  • Schuylkill River Park Courts

FYI: During SETURDAYS, we will have one court dedicated to league match play!

Playing the Match

All league matches are played as 8-game pro sets. The first doubles team to reach 8 games wins the match — but you must win by 2 games (e.g., 8–6).

If the score reaches 8–8, a tiebreaker will decide the winner. The tiebreaker is played first to 12 points, win by 2.

Be sure to bring your own balls, check the weather, and have fun!

Reporting Your Score

After each match, visit the FLÊVORFUL Tennis League tab on our website or simply click on the “Report your score” button in the main menu to submit the score line.

At least one player from each team should submit the result. This helps us keep standings updated and ensures everything runs smoothly.

Repeat this process every week!

Substitutions

If a player can’t make it to a scheduled match due to travel, illness, or other commitments, no worries!

Just reach out to us via email or Instagram, and we’ll help find a substitute of comparable skill level to step in. Our goal is to keep matches competitive, fair, and enjoyable for everyone.

Late Penalties & Rescheduling

Make sure you arrive to your matches on time!

  • If a team is more than 20 minutes late, the opposing team may claim the win automatically. However, this is left to the discretion of the waiting team — if you don’t mind waiting, that’s totally fine too.

  • Rescheduling must be done at least 24 hours in advance.

  • If a team requests to reschedule the same match twice, the opposing team automatically receives the win — unless they choose otherwise.

Good luck and have fun this season. See you in the FLÊVOR Cup!
